Beckham's 2nd Birthday

His little face^^^ He was so excited to be having a special day. The sweetness!
The little "Beckham" banner was just hand painted and strung together. I purchased the fabric flags at hobby lobby in a package.
My in laws house is bae. They are always so sweet to let us host there.
These cookies were literally the cutest things of all time. Pretty Sweet Cookies is my new favorite party requirement. The custom cookies seriously added such a special detail.
My in laws had On The Border catered!!! (#blessed)  It was so generous of them and so delicious. Everyone is happier when they get their bellies full, and Beckham love beans so it was perfect for his party!
He is obsessed with his teepee!
He had so much fun opening his presents. So beyond sweet watching his face light up while opening each thing.
On his first birthday he was legit scared of his cake. ahahahha different story this year, as you can see. Look at those eyes patiently waiting for his daddy to cut him the first piece after he blew out the candles. Cracks me up.
Obviously any camping birthday party is not complete without s'mores. It was a chilly rainy day so my mom in law made oven s'mores for us. They were just as delicious as campfire s'mores, don't you worry.
Playing with one of his new toys.
He was so proud to be the center of attention. Our little sweet Beckham Bear is two!

Well I finally did it. I finally blogged Beckham's 2nd birthday party! It's been months since Beckham turned 2 (December 1st to be exact), and I'm finally blogging. Granted we didn't have his birthday party until middle of January, but it's been so hard to find time to blog lately.

This was such a fun little day and seeing Beckham light up when he saw everything that was just for him was priceless. He is old enough to understand things, so he talked about his party and his cake and presents for days beforehand! It was so precious.
Beckham is such an outdoorsy little man, so I decided to go with a camping themed birthday party for him. He LOVES camping and actually recently asked if we could go on a camping trip. (I can't even.)
I wanted the theme to be a little different than the typical camping themed birthdays I've seen on Pinterest, so I went with a few brighter colors such as orange and turquoise and worked around those.
I really loved the way everything turned out and can't wait to plan his next party (or maybe take a year off) haha.
I made all the yarn Pom Poms and tassels and strung them together and hung them up in a random configuration to create a fun festive little backdrop. That was time consuming I won't even lie, but totally worth it to make a sweet little one-of-a-kind backdrop.
I purchased the striped "table runner" and the striped wall background at hobby lobby. They were both just striped fabric that I bought several yards of. Super easy, and lots of options to pick from. I love using fabric for anything and everything.
I got all the balloons at hobby lobby because they have a large assortment of letters and numbers to choose from. They are smaller and far less expensive than the ones that party city offers & that's a win in my book.
Pretty much all the other plants and lanterns and lights were a mixture of things me and my mother in law had lying around our houses. SCORE!
I made a chocolate cake with homemade icing and stuck some trees on it. I'm learning that some things are just better left simple, and I loved he simplicity (and deliciousness) of the cake. The big sparkly "2" was also purchased at hobby lobby because they legit have everything.
The sugar cookies were c/o @prettysweetcookies and I am legit more obsessed with these than what is probably a healthy level of cookie obsession. I told Allison my vision, and she totally nailed it with the cutest most delicious cookies of all time. They really made Beckham's party feel extra special. I'm so obsessed that I'm going to have to do a seperate detailed post all about them. (That's next.) I mean little camping cookies I DIE.

Overall it was such a sweet little day for my sweet little dude. We kept the party really small with immediate family and about 5 of our very closest friends. It was so fun getting to celebrate Beckham and his life. I'm so thankful we have had 2 years with him. He just keeps getting better and better.
