Green Drink Recipes

Green drinks (or green smoothies) are a staple in our house. I make a green drink everyday, and it’s something that we actually truly enjoy. It’s the easiest way to get lots of greens in us without having to eat a ginormous salad everyday. If you watch my story you know we love us some green drink. I had gotten so many direct messages about recipes, how to make them, etc. I thought the easiest way would be to put my fav. recipes here to reference anytime!
They are all VERY SIMILAR. Except the “weekend smoothie,” which has more ingredients and is a bit more time consuming to make. That’s why it’s our weekend smoothie because during the week when daddy is at work we need our green drink to be fast and easy! All the weekday smoothies take less than 5 minutes, LITERALLY.
The “weekend smoothie” is actually my dad’s recipe, and it’s my absolute favorite green drink ever. Don’t be afraid of all the veggies in it, you really don’t even know they are there! Beckham even absolutely loves it too!
You will notice nothing is really measured other than in “handfuls” since the point is fast and easy, I don’t take time to get measuring cups out. You can always adjust the size of your handful if you think it needs more or less of something!

My biggest tip to getting the perfectly delicious and majorly enjoyable green drink is the BLENDER. If you have a good blender such as a Vitamix you will find it much easier to down a big green drink daily. Chunky is funky. Smooth green drinks are key to enjoying them. If green smoothies are something you plan to implement in your daily routine, I suggest investing in a good blender. I tried to use a $100.00 blender from target for a while and ended up never making green drinks. You just can’t down a chunky smoothie easily.
My other tip: don’t use a straw to drink your smoothie. I know this is KINDA a weird suggestion, but using a straw slows down the drinking and makes it harder to drink as much. I drink about 24oz. of blended green drinks everyday and I really think it’s partly because I drink them somewhat fast.

I would love to hear if you try any of these recipes and see how you liked it!
